AFRICAN CALENDAR
These items are very scarce, since with the Westernisation of large parts of Africa, more conventional calendars are used.
Very few natives still use this calendar to keep track of the months, but we have sourced a supply of these absolutely marvelous Elephant Calendars, hand carved from solid Ebony wood.
The set consists of 12 Elephants, from large to small, each one representing a month, the largest January and the smallest December. At the beginning of a month, that Elephant will be turned sideways. In picture 2 above, you will note that this calendar depicts the month of April.
A lovely collection to keep in a display cabinet or anywhere in the home as a unique piece of art.
