ROUND BREAD / FOOD BASKET WOVEN FROM REEDS

From Mozambique.

Absolutely beautifully hand woven round basket, normally used to arrange a variety of breads and cheeses for the table. These items are woven from wild reeds and certain strands are dyed from natural sources like plants and fruit, and then woven into the basket to form lovely patterns.  Re-inforced with bamboo strips.

A very robust product, which will last a very long time if looked after.
